Derek Changs Koto 04/07/2010
Over the past few years, Baton Rouge has seen a surge in Asian restaurants. Asian cuisine has become one of the most popular food genres in todays culture, and no other food type seems to be exploding in popularity like sushi. Although new sushi restaurants seem to be popping up everywhere in the capital city area, Derek Chang's Koto has established itself as one of the top original sushi joints in the area. Since 2002, Derek Chang's Koto has introduced many locals to authentic Japanese cuisine in a modernly-classy atmosphere. JC Kamados 07/28/2009
(In the voice of Billy May’s…) Hi, Derek Morris here with a revolutionary sushi restaurant in the Baton Rouge area: JC Kamado’s. Ok, I won’t keep the pitch going because nobody can pitch like the master. Now back to business. JC Kamado’s is located on Sherwood Forest Blvd in Baton Rouge and offers authentic Japanese cuisine and one of my favorite’s, sushi. Kamado’s offers excellent sushi at very fair prices, all in a fine dining atmosphere, making it a great place to bring a date. All chicks love sushi, right? Chinese Inn 06/10/2009
Sorry for being so blunt, but this placed sucked! Though the buffet was offered many different items, there was pretty much only one edible item on it: The Cook's Special (Whatever the hell that means. Scared to ask!) I started by filling my plate with Sweet and Sour Pork, Sesame Chicken, Seafood Delight, Sweet and Sour Chicken and The Cook's Special. The first item i dived into was the Sweet and Sour Pork. It was as hard as diamond. I think I chipped a tooth when i first bit into it. Nagoya Japanese Buffet 02/04/2009
There is nothing like Nagoya Japanese Buffet in the area. Here you will find one of the largest buffets in the area featuring Japanese cuisine at its finest. The restaurant features Asian cuisine, Hibachi grill, and a sushi bar. The food is excellent here and features traditional Asian items along with others you won’t find at any other Asian buffet. The sushi is not bad, but definitely not top quality that can compete with other local sushi bars. |
